A Mindanaoan leader has once again earned the trust of local government officials across the country.
South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo S. Tamayo, Jr. was re-elected as National Chairman of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) for the 2026–2029 term during the organization's 110th National Executive Board Meeting and Election of Officers.
The re-election is a strong vote of confidence from the country's local government leaders, recognizing Governor Tamayo's leadership and commitment to advancing the welfare of local government units nationwide.
ULAP is the umbrella organization of ten leagues of local officials in the Philippines, representing provinces, cities, municipalities, barangays, vice governors, vice mayors, councilors, board members, and young legislators. As National Chairman, Governor Tamayo will continue leading efforts to strengthen local governance and ensure that the voices of local governments are heard in national policymaking.
A native of Mindanao, Governor Tamayo has become one of the country's most influential local leaders. Beyond serving as Governor of South Cotabato, he is also the National President of the League of Provinces of the Philippines (LPP) and has been recognized for championing innovative programs in education, healthcare, transparency, and local governance.
His re-election is not only a personal achievement but also a source of pride for South Cotabato and the entire Mindanao region, demonstrating that leadership rooted in good governance and public service can earn recognition on the national stage.
As Governor Tamayo begins another term as ULAP Chairman, many see his continued leadership as an opportunity to further empower local governments and promote inclusive development throughout the country.
From South Cotabato to the national stage - Mindanao continues to lead and inspire.
